Unity is a positive approach to spirituality based on the teachings of Jesus and the power of prayer. Unity honors the universal truths in all religions and respects each individual's right to choose a spiritual path. Wherever you are in your spiritual evolution, you're welcome to join our community of seekers in our common desire to deepen our connection to God.

We extend a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, or gay … if you’re over 60 but not grown up, or a teenager who is growing up too fast … if you’re having problems, are down in the dumps, or if you don’t like “organized religion” (we’ve been there, too) … if you’re inked, pierced, or both … if you could use a prayer right now, or you had religion shoved down your throat as a kid … if you’re a tourist, seeker, doubter, or bleeding heart … we give you our warmest, open-hearted welcome!

Moving Forward

We have an important opportunity to support the next expression of UNS’ becoming with your thoughts, words and deeds.

Our site is currently under contract to be purchased by Kensington School, a local daycare center. They are in the process of securing approval from the City of Evanston for their intended use of the property, and community support will make a meaningful difference.

The proposal will be presented to and voted on by the City Council on March 9th. All are welcome to attend the meeting in support of Kensington. Your presence can help demonstrate strong community backing.

We believe this proposal represents the highest and best use of the site. It would:

  • Return the property to the city’s tax rolls, generating an estimated $300,000–$360,000 annually in revenue for Evanston
  • Provide a much-needed childcare resource for local families
  • Ensure the property remains attractive, active, and well cared for in the neighborhood

We invite you to sign the petition in support of this development and to share it with your neighbors. Forward this email or text the link. Every signature helps.

Thank you for prayerfully supporting a bright future for our church, our neighbors and the City of Evanston.
