In Unity, we believe God is absolute good. And because all people exist within and as part of this divine energy, each of us is also inherently good.
The Unity movement is open and welcoming of all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, creed, religion, national origin, ethnicity, physical disability, or sexual orientation.
Together we embrace our individuality. We celebrate our uniqueness with full acceptance of all people, including every expression of the Divine. We come together with love and compassion to be a light for all. We stand together in Unity.
Unity extends an explicit invitation to members of the LGBTQ+ community, who we know have often been rejected by spiritual communities because of who they are or who they love. Through prayer, publishing, and community outreach, we are committed to respecting the dignity of every human being—and that includes their gender identity/expression.
At Unity, we know that profound systemic changes need to occur to protect the rights of those marginalized because of their race and/or culture. Recent and historical events have led to a renewed focus on social justice issues in the United States.
We are committed to do the spiritual work of justice and healing. This starts with inclusion and diversity efforts within our organization and continues with the spiritual resources we offer to you. May our prayers and our dialogue be transformed into spiritual right action so that we create long-lasting and meaningful change.
We believe in a church which welcomes and serves all individuals, including those with disabilities both seen and invisible. Our facility currently presents a number of challenges to people with certain disablities, including a lack of ramps and accessible restrooms. We plan to remedy this situation in the near future. In the meantime, we provide a livestream of our service to those who request access. If we can provide you with the livestream login, or can make other accomodations that make our services or events accessible to you, please email our Executive Director at Jasmine@UnityNS.org.
