I knew that Unity was my spiritual home when I learned that Unity believes that “there are many paths to the One God” and, more important to me, that Unity does not demand that all followers believe all the same things in the same ways. Instead of dogma and discipline, Unity invited reflection, deep listening, prayer, and conversation as ways to discover Spirit and Truth within.
I knew that Unity on the North Shore was my spiritual home when I joined the choir and met so many spirit-filled people who remain in my church family. When Reverend Kurt asked me whether I would be interested to be a speaker for the Christmas service, and later to serve as a Worship Assistant, UNS really became home. Having a role and an opportunity to serve the UNS community made all the difference to my sense of belonging and to my inner peace. I’m grateful every day.
