Unity offers sanctuary in a world that can feel overwhelming.

By Jasmine Sassack

The beliefs, experiences, and community found at Unity on the North Shore can change everything. I was fortunate to attend Unity starting in my childhood, but I truly felt that Unity was essential to my life during my teenage years. During a stage of life that is so rife with conflict, self-doubt, and a sense of powerlessness, Unity became my safe haven. Amongst both adults and peers, I experienced unconditional acceptance. I was empowered with the teachings of manifestation, affirmation, and divine order.

I'm in my forties now with teenage children of my own. I've weathered many of life's ups and downs. I continually return to Unity because it offers a sanctuary in a world that can often feel overwhelming. Life can be hard, but having faith in something greater than myself allows me to hand over my challenges to God, making it easier to bear life’s unbearable burdens. Everyone deserves access to a spiritual home where they can find connection, healing, and hope, and where they can remember that they are not alone.

At Unity on the North Shore, we embrace the idea that we are all part of a larger tapestry of humanity. When we come together, we can see how alike we are, fostering empathy and understanding in a time when division is all too common. Our teachings inspire us to take personal responsibility for our choices and empower us to be voices for progress. By supporting our church, I am contributing to a movement that helps heal the world—one heart, one connection at a time. Together, we can face life’s challenges with faith and community, knowing we do not need to solve our problems alone.
